The new CEO of IBN

It’s stuff like this that drives me nuts.

President Barack Obama said  that women should now be admitted as members to the PRIVATE all-male Augusta National, home of the Masters, a White House spokesman said on Thursday.

“President Obama doesn’t agree with Augusta National ban on women members, says his press secretary.”
Here’s my problem with his issue. They are a PRIVATE club. the government has not influence in this type of matter. Why should they have to bow to the whim of the federal government. They shouldn’t!
Today on 97.1 radio station, talk show host Dana Loesch pointed out that if women were so angry at this, women should go and found their own golf club. Frankly, I don’t think it’s a bad idea. The government has no reach in this at all.
Lest, I think I might actually feel sorry for  Jay Carney. The man has to lie through his teeth and twist and turn everything Obama says to get it to sound good. The man HAS to know he is lying. I mean, really?
Jay Carney said Obama’s “personal opinion is that women should be admitted” to the golf club. Carney claims it’s “up to the club to decide” but Obama thinks they should be welcome.  ”We’re kind of long past the time when women should be excluded from anything,” Carney said.
So, the White House the idea to influence a private club. Horrible! However, to add insult, Mitt Romney, who will probably will the Republican nominee, had this to say:

“Of course. I am not a member of Augusta. I don’t know if I would qualify. My golf game is not that good,” Romney said at a campaign stop in Pennsylvania. “If I could run Augusta, which isn’t likely to happen, of course I’d have women.”

Also, a previous republican Presidential Candidate, John McCain tweeted this:

“Don’t you think it’s time Augusta National joined the 21st century – or the 20th – and allowed women members?”

My response is, “Don’t you think it’s time for the federal government to leave private business to private businesses?” Nevertheless, that is over 140 characters.

This all started after IBN, a longtime sponsor of the club, got a new female CEO, Virginia Rometty.

Here are Jay Carney’s remarks:
