Coalition “friendly fire” kills 13 Libyan rebels

April 3, 2011

According to Yahoo News, the Coalition aiming to stop Gaddafi has killed 13 Libyan rebels. They state:

A NATO-led air strike killed 13 Libyan rebels, a rebel spokesman said on Saturday, but their leaders called for continued raids on Muammar Gaddafi’s forces despite the “regrettable incident.”

Well, as a human being, I hate to see loss of life. I do understand that if this is a “war”, which if it was this would be unconstitutional, then some loss of life sadly happens. I am not trying to minimize the lives of those who were killed they may me millions of miles away, but they have families too, but war is war. At least this isn’t the Soviet Union in WWII when they fired on their own men if they retreated.

However,a brit doctor says more about deaths:

A British-based doctor who arrived in Misrata three days ago on a humanitarian mission said 160 people, mostly civilians, were killed in fighting in the town over the last seven days.

The quality of life and security for the citizens has been largely restored and we are a large part of why that has happened.

Even if that’s true, of which of have no way to know, it wasn’t out place to invade Libya. It was unconstitutional.
