US Sends Cruise Missiles into Libya

March 19, 2011

Via a post at ABC, we now know that the United States and Britain.

The first air strikes, in what is being called Operation Odyssey Dawn, were launched from a mix of U.S. surface ships and one British submarine in the Mediterranean Sea at 2 p.m. ET, Vice Adm. William E. Gortney told reporters at a Pentagon briefing.

As any president should, Obama gave a short speech:

Obama statement, posted with vodpod

“I want the American people to know that the use of force is not our first choice and it’s not a choice I make lightly, but we cannot stand idly by when a tyrant tells his people that there will be no mercy.”

Well, either Conservative or Liberal, none of us really want this. We are already in Iraq and Afghanistan, and don’t need what the Drudge Report said today, “WAR NO. 3″. As a blogger, it is difficult to respond to this on the  internet. What do you say? I shall let you ponder the president's decision.
