this. In my opinion, you need to say what you believe. If you are Jewish, than say happy Hanukkah! Myself, being a Christian, I say Merry Christmas. I am not going to say happy holidays to be politically correct when in my religion, Jesus Christ died for me to be able to say proudly that I am a Christian! He didn’t die so I can be politically correct. The same is for those of the Jewish faith. I do not mean to meddle in your religion, but is not Hanukkah the celebration of the Maccabians winning the battle? You should be proud of this, and not be afraid to say that.
You can say what you believe to others. Why just last week, I was walking around, and I had opened the door for someone, being the gentleman that I am, and I said Merry Christmas. In response, she said Happy Hanukkah. I did not take offense. She did not say it in a bad way. Both comments were polite and sincere. However, when you are open to others about what you believe, you must prepare for a comeback. On occasion, I have said Merry Christmas, and gotten back a very rude insult and told that is not what they believed.
This Happy Holidays thing has gotten very large nowadays due to the large amount of spineless liberals who don’t want to offend ANYBODY. In my opinion, the United States was better when it said, “This is who we are. If you don’t like it, too bad.” However, today we don’t do that. We make everything so it won’t offend anyone. Heck, the Pledge of Allegiance was taken out of our schools because it had the word “God” in it! People need to grow a backbone, and say what they believe. No more trying to please everyone.
Solving this problem can start in small steps, just by saying “Merry Christmas” at Christmastime. Soon, we might make ground on this problem, but for now it is being set aside. Don’t throw religion away. It is a gift. Don’t throw it away for political correctness. For when you do that, we know that the Liberals have won.

Listen, there are liberals who are pussies and don’t want to offend anybody, however, some liberals (such as me) believe that offending people is justsomething that’s natural. In fact, a lot of liberals believe this. Take comedians like David Cross for example, he often is very liberal and supports left wing ideologies, yet his act includes mocking orthodox religion (chrisian, mulsim, and especially Jewish), telling stories about getting raped by the virgin Mary, and making fun of various mental disorders.
