Feature Article: Stress at Christmastime

December 12, 2010

Now, that it’s nearing Christmastime, I thought I’d give you a quick piece of advice; slow down. People at this time of year are racing. People race for Christmas, New years, and for us students, the end of the semester. I suggest you slow down, and enjoy your life. We need to enjoy each day.

Even the church tells us to slow down. That is why they made advent, a time of waiting for Jesus. The church gives us not 1 weeks, not 2 weeks, not even 3 weeks, but 4 weeks of waiting for Christmas. That is what each of those pink and purple candles mean, another year of waiting.

In conclusion, I advise you to enjoy your days. Also, though its pretty much impossible to not be caught up in the holiday rush, try to not be caught up. Remember, you’ll never be able to have this day in 2010 ever again, enjoy it.

Merry Christmas.
