Now that the Republicans and Tea Party Candidates have taken the House of Representatives, the Tea Party is going great! The Tea Party can still work on kicking out the rest of the leftist politicians, but what does the future hold for the Tea Party after 2012? Assuming the Republicans take the Congress and the Presidency in 2012, what then? From a Tea Party standpoint, you have won all you came to win. What do you do? Do you continue to check up on the politicians and make sure they are doing what you told them to do? Do they move for a completely Republican congress? Does the Tea Party stop taking action, and sits back and waits for the Republicans to do something wrong, so the they can can come in and set the Republicans straight, or in other words, be proactive ? Does the Tea Party grow untill it is a party itself? Tea Party leader have two years to decide, but clearly in 2012, based upon what the current political sence is, we must make some critical decisions.

The Tea Party needs to hold Republicans’ feet to the fire so they don’t go all wobbly and compromise with Democrats. Mitch McConnell’s recent change of heart on earmarks is an excellent example of what public opinion can do. They also need to continue to be active at the state and local levels, where politicians continue to engage in wasteful, deficit spending and seek increasing power over our lives.
