Feature Article: Thanksgiving after Party Blues and Bitter-Sweetness of election victory
Am I the only person who seems to feel bad after a holiday? To me it is like something cool just came and went. Also, I am sad because this holiday will never happen again in this year. Thanksgiving 2010 will not happen again unless they make a time machine, but I think that is unlikely. It is bitter-sweet. Sweet because you saw your family, but bitter because it is over. I guess that it’s rareness makes it so special. If it is only once a year, it makes it that much more precious.
Now, to me the word (or a guess word phrase) Bitter-sweet makes me think of the Republican victory in the House of Representatives. Sweet because we won, but bitter because no one knows what is coming next. We can only hope the Republicans whom we have elected do what we elected them to do.
