A Must See Remember Reagan Video by Human Events
I was unable to post the video this through the blog. To see it go to this website:

but since it was an audio video, Human Events posted the words, and here they are:
“Victory at Last!”
That was the headline on the November 15, 1980 issue of Human Events, celebrating the election of Ronald Reagan as President of the United States.
Then, as now, I was the editor of Human Events — and for us the victory had seemed especially long in coming. After all, Reagan had been one of our most avid readers since 1961 (he called us his “favorite newspaper”), and we had been supporting his presidential aspirations since the mid-’70s — despite opposition from some Establishment naysayers who said he was “too old” and “too conservative” to be elected.
And, oh, how it does my heart good in this Age of Obama to look at that historic Page One — now framed on my office wall — and relive that glorious moment when real hope and change came to America.
For indeed, President Reagan did much more than change America — he changed the world. Not only did he revive the U.S. economy and the American spirit almost overnight, but more than any other world leader he brought about the demise of Soviet Communism and ended the Cold War.
And Human Events was with him in the White House — where he continued to read us week in and week out — every step of the way.
Yet today, as we approach his 100th birthday, on February 6, 2011, I fear that the legacy and the message of Ronald Reagan are in danger of being forgotten — if not wholly rejected. Once again, America is ruled by liberal demagogues who tell us that Big Government is the solution to our problems, rather than their cause. Once again, our economy is shackled with high taxes, soaring spending and crippling regulations.
That’s why we at Human Events are determined to use the occasion of Ronald Reagan’s upcoming Centennial to revive the memory of this great President — and in so doing to revive the principles of limited government, free enterprise and traditional values that he stood for.
To begin this all-important effort, we have assembled an exclusive collection of Reagan memorabilia that every conservative would be proud to own.
We call it The Ronald Reagan Centennial Collection.
- The historic front page of Human Events‘ “VICTORY AT LAST!” Issue dated November 15, 1980 — celebrating Ronald Reagan’s first election as President of the United States. Suitable for framing, this full-size reproduction of the Page One heralding real hope and change in America is printed on the highest-quality, acid-free paper to prevent yellowing.
- A 1-year subscription to Ronald Reagan’s “favorite newspaper,” Human Events (a $129 value) — 44 weekly issues of the National Conservative Weekly, delivered right to your mailbox.Reagan started reading Human Events in 1961, long before he burst on the national political scene — and it helped to shape his commitment to conservative principles of limited government, free enterprise and traditional values. In fact, a recent Reagan biography credits Human Events with being a primary source of inspiration for Reagan’s Soviet policies, particularly the Strategic Defense Initiative.
